Education

The Iowa Radiological Society generally holds one annual meeting every year.  A business meeting is generally held immediately following the annual meeting.

The 2020 Iowa Radiological Society Annual Meeting has been canceled.

After careful consideration, the Iowa Radiological Society has made the decision to cancel the annual meeting this year.

We appreciate your understanding, support and flexibility during this difficult time. Our highest priorities are the safety and health of our course participants and faculty, as well as our collective patients and family members.  We hope to resume meetings in 2021.

For educational resources relevant to our current circumstances, you may consider accessing the ACR COVID-19 Clinical Resources for Radiologists (https://www.acr.org/Clinical-Resources/COVID-19-Radiology-Resources).

For COVID-19 information tailored to physicians in Iowa, there are also resources at the Iowa Medical Society website,  https://www.iowamedical.org/COVID-19-Resources.  This information is not specific to radiologists.

We are the Iowa chapter of the ACR.

Consider using the ACR educational resources available at https://www.acr.org/Lifelong-Learning-and-CME.

More specifically, CME that is free to ACR members can be found at the links for Case in Point, JACR CME, Image Wisely Radiation Safety Cases, &The the Value-based Imaging Activities of R-SCAN at https://www.acr.org/Lifelong-Learning-and-CME/Learning-Activities.

Two very helpful websites that are jointly sponsored by ACR and other organizations, including the RSNA, are https://www.imagewisely.org/ and https://www.radiologyinfo.org/.  They are filled with useful information and reference material.
